On this page you can read a bit about my training, experience and ways in which I work.

I have completed a doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DPsych). This is a rigorous and demanding programme leading to qualification as a Counselling Psychologist and accreditation with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).

I have been trained to work in a range of therapeutic modalities that draw on evidence-based practice. I have experience of working in a culturally-sensitive way with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. I draw on different theories and approaches to make sense of people's distress and life experiences. My approach is influenced by existential-phenomenological, psychodynamic as well as cognitive theories.

I am committed to reflecting on, evaluating and developing my own practice. This involves regular supervision and engaging with continual professional development and learning.
